My name is Michael Keating. I’m in my third year of Digital Humanities and Information Technology at UCC, and I’ve just returned from spending three months working at a summer camp in Canada. Working at Camp Walden was truly the experience of a lifetime — it re-energized me and renewed my passion as I head into my third year of college. I’m grateful for that, as I can now fully focus on working hard to secure an internship.
Hobbies:
I have many hobbies and passions. One of them is bouldering, which I started last August. Although I had to take a break while working at camp, I try to go at least once a week when I can. I also love art and drawing — it’s something I’ve enjoyed since I was young. For me, drawing is almost like a form of meditation, and I find it a much healthier way to spend time than scrolling on my phone.
Since coming back from camp, I’ve also made an effort to read more and exercise regularly. So far, I’ve been consistent, and I’m hoping to keep these habits going well into the future.
