College Project Work

Introduction:

Data Analysis:

During this module, I worked extensively with Python as the main programming language and used Google Colab as the platform to write and run my code. The aim of the project was to build a portfolio that explored unique datasets and applied different methods of analysis to uncover patterns and insights.

A key part of this work involved data visualization. By creating graphs and charts, I was able to present complex data in a way that was clear and easy to interpret. These visualizations not only made the results more accessible but also helped me draw meaningful conclusions from the datasets.

This project allowed me to strengthen my skills in both Python programming and analytical thinking, while also learning how to communicate findings effectively through visualization.

Digital Media Project:

In this module, I explored a variety of digital tools to create different forms of digital media, including posters and videos. The process involved not only designing original content but also learning how to edit and enhance images and video to communicate ideas more effectively.

I experimented with layout, colour, and typography when creating posters, ensuring the final designs were both visually appealing and user-friendly. For video production, I gained experience in editing techniques, such as cutting, sequencing, adding transitions, and incorporating audio, which helped bring projects to life in a professional way.

Through this work, I developed a stronger understanding of digital storytelling, improved my ability to use creative software tools, and built confidence in presenting information visually. These skills will be valuable for future projects that combine technical ability with creativity.

Chatbot Project:

For this project, I was tasked with designing and developing my own chatbot. The chatbot acted as a mock-up assistant, capable of answering basic questions on a chosen topic and providing support to users who might be struggling to navigate a webpage.

To build it, I used a combination of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, which allowed me to create both the functionality and the visual design. My focus was on making the chatbot user-friendly and ensuring that the interface was visually appealing, so users could interact with it easily and intuitively.

This project gave me practical experience in front-end and back-end web technologies, and helped me strengthen my skills in designing tools that combine usability with functionality.

UI Design Project(TFI-Live):

In this project, our group was tasked with enhancing an existing application to make it more user-friendly and to address design issues that might discourage users from engaging with it.

We focused on several key areas of improvement, including:

  • Readability – ensuring text and content were clear and accessible
  • Navigation – restructuring menus and workflows to make the application easier to use
  • Labeling – clearly identifying assets and features so users could quickly understand their purpose

By applying UI/UX design principles, our team worked collaboratively to create a more intuitive and engaging user experience. This project strengthened my skills in user-centred design, teamwork, and problem-solving, while also giving me experience in refining digital products to meet real user needs.
