Work experience

Dunnes Stores – Sales Assistant (Oct 2023 – Jan 2025)

Working at Dunnes Stores on Bandon Road gave me the opportunity to gain valuable customer service and teamwork experience in a fast-paced retail environment. I interacted with customers daily, helping them with queries and purchases, while also assisting with stock management and store presentation.

I became proficient in operating the till system, processing online orders, and was even entrusted with responsibilities such as managing the safe and handling cash. This trust helped me develop a strong sense of responsibility and reliability.
Through this role, I honed important soft skills like communication, time management, and organization, which I know will carry through into any future role.

Camp Walden, Ontario – Counselor (June 2025 – Aug 2025)

Spending three months working as a counselor at Camp Walden in Canada was one of the most transformative experiences of my life. I worked closely with children aged 6–9, supporting them in daily activities, teaching them new skills, and helping to create an inclusive, safe, and fun environment.

The role required patience, adaptability, and teamwork, especially when working in high-pressure situations with colleagues from different backgrounds. It strengthened my leadership and communication skills, and gave me a greater appreciation for collaboration and resilience.

Cul Camp – Coach (June 2022)

As a coach at Cul Camp, I worked with groups of children aged 7–12 to teach them Irish sporting skills. I focused on making the sessions engaging and encouraging participation, while also building the children’s confidence and teamwork.

This experience allowed me to develop my own leadership and listening skills, as well as the ability to explain concepts clearly to younger learners.
